A
Shift
Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed by The Name.
Have you ever really thought about what that means?
We say this prayer so often, but I think we haven't really thought about what it was saying.
When I was a child I thought it was talking about a very big guy up in the sky, somewhere, out there.
Who was watching and could see everything, so you better be good, and you'd better be nice to him, because he was really big and who knows what he might do to you, if you were bad, or weren't nice to him.
And many of us live our lives that way, in fear, we better be good, or who knows, what might happen.
Today I have another understanding…I think in terms of consciousness. Our Father is the consciousness in all. In everything. Consciousness is prime. Where is God not?
Heaven isn't a place… it is a state. It's the state of knowing our Unity, our Oneness with that consciousness that is in everything. So Heaven can be here on earth when we know our Oneness.
When Mother Mary appears at Medjugorea, Lourdes, and other places, she tells us to repent and turn to God. How I interpret that is that she is telling us to turn to that consciousness that is prime, the consciousness that is Unity, that consciousness that is all things; is in all things.
Our Father Who Art in Heaven.
The consciousness that is in Heaven.
What does that mean? What is Heaven, where is Heaven.?
Heaven isn't out there, or up there. Heaven isn't a place we travel to after we die. Heaven is a state of consciousness. The consciousness of Unity, Oneness, Wholeness. This is Our Father IN Heaven. This state of consciousness. When we know our Oneness, our Wholeness, Our perfection in/with Prime Consciousness we are in Heaven.
The Course In Miracles Jesus says there is only Love. This is the only consciousness that is real. Love's opposite is fear. But there is nothing else. So if you're not in Love consciousness, your in fear consciousness.. But because there is only Love, fear is an illusion. It's not real. It is something you made up. If we are in fear it is because in our mind, we have separated from Love, (Prime Consciousness). Our mind is split.
So the state of Heaven is knowing our whole mind, The knowing our Oneness with Prime Consciousness.
Seek Ye the Kingdom of Heaven,; Seek ye whole mind. Love.
Before my journey with Reiki, I had heard about energy but had no real experience of it, (or at least, I thought I had no experience of it}, and then I became more energy aware, and I had a way of relating to it. I thought that the physical body had an energy field and that the energy field was created by the body, was a result of having a body. When the body was gone the energy was gone.
Now I think of it in a different way. The shift in my thinking is that now I believe that the physical body is actually a reflection, of another dimension and that dimension is the energy field that the physical body "emerges" out of. The body comes from the energy field, not…the energy field comes from the body. I had never really thought about it that way before. So this was a shift in my thinking, a new way of thinking.
So where does the energy field come from? I believe it comes from the consciousness. This why consciousness is prime.
The energy field is a reflection of another dimension, and that dimension is consciousness and so the energy field "emerges" out of "consciousness" dimension.
So first there is consciousness, then there is energy, then there is the physical body. Our bodies carry the energy of our consciousness .
When I first started doing Reiki, I used to think that as the Reiki practitioner, the energy I was moving, came from somewhere , outside of myself, through me, and into the client. I was a channel for the energy.
Now what I believe is that the energy comes from the place where we, the client and myself, are already One, in Unity. It happens because we are connecting to the place where we are already connected. A place in consciousness. These are interesting thoughts.
So our consciousness comes first. This is why shifting our consciousness is of primary
importance. The quality of our consciousness effects the quality of our energy, effects the quality of
our physical experience; our body.
I believe our thoughts are like prayers and that we are always praying. This is because our thinking (our consciousness), is connected to the consciousness of the whole, and that Mind Is The Builder.
I believe that we create our reality from our minds. The mind is always listening, & watching our
actions, our words and our thoughts, and creating from them. This why are thoughts are prayers.
Another interesting thought is that We are made in the image of God. If God is Prime consciousness
then we are "Beings of prime consciousness. When we say we are spiritual beings having a human experience, we could say we are beings of consciousness, having a human experience in this dimension time.
While here on Earth, in third dimension, we are like the ocean focused on the wave. We forgot the ocean part of ourselves. When we remember the ocean part of our selves, we connect with a Greater Awareness and we know our Oneness and our wholeness with all life and all beings.
So "Seek ye the kingdom of Heaven" is shifting our awareness to the "ocean self".
So where do you end & I begin?
I remember doing a "game/experiment" with a group of others called, "The Natural Process". During the game/process an individual would have to retrieve a memory from their own mind and use it in the process as a resource to counter negative memories/emotions. When the person shifted their own consciousness this way, myself and each of the others in the group, knew/felt when it was successful or when the memory/emotion still needed some more shifting. And as each of us took our turn , the others in the group "knew" when the process was complete. How?
There was no verbal communication. The processing was all being done on an inner level of the person doing the process. Yet each of us in the group "knew" when the process was complete for the person who was doing it, or when it was incomplete for them.
I believe it was because we were linked in our minds, and because of our common intent we were acting like a group mind.
The apparent goal of the Natural Process is to shift your mind to healing your stuff…but I think it does it not in the way, I originally thought, which was healing our individual "history"….I think it does it by the experience of mind-linking and having the moment of telepathic oneness with others. Which is more our Natural state than what we have been conditioned to believe.
Something similar happens in my practice as a hypnotherapist. When I induce the relaxed state for my client, I also go into the relaxed state. When we relax it is natural that we open; we open to deeper levels of our mind. We connect to another level of ourselves, in our own mind and can explore the sub-conscious to shift and bring healing to ourselves. But we also connect to other minds. So its like my client and I become one mind at another level of ourselves. Ironically we already are connected at that level of our minds, we just don't know it at a conscious level. As I work with my client, and they make a shift, I literally feel the client shift their consciousness.
How I describe that is, its like I begin ringing inside myself like a bell. I begin to vibrate as they shift. I feel it inside myself like I am ringing, the energy is moving. I remember one client an elderly, late 70's, gentleman who had slipped on the ice and was afraid of falling again. He came to me to get over it. I regressed him to the original cause of his fear and he went back to when he was a kid and his parents put him in a boarding school. Simply by realising, from the adult perspective, what he felt, and the beliefs he formed about himself and the word around him, at the time of that experience as a child, he shifted. His realisation about how that experience was related to his fear of slipping on the ice was phenomenal.
We sat in silence for at least 20 minutes while he internally connected the dots, from his childhood to the present and as he shifted his consciousness, I rang with each shift he made. It was amazing! For him and for me. Afterwards he told me he saw how that from that one experience his belief effected so many other times in his life. And he kept shifting, as he moved through his life to the present. His fear was gone and whole other levels of healing had taken place all at the same time. And I had been feeling it all the time inside myself….Our bodies make us look like we are separate beings but we are not.
The Circle is an ancient symbol for Wholeness/God. I was taught by my Native American teacher that the circle represents the soul's journey. In a circle there is no hierarchy. All points are equal. No one place is higher or better than another. At any point on the circle every point returns to itself. Where ever you start you always come back to yourself...Just think about that for a moment. We go back to where we started. (Prime Consciousness)
A circle doesn't change its nature. It remains the same, no matter what its size. Whether its large or
small; it still is a circle. I think this tells us something about our own nature.
How does a circle grow?
By stretching beyond its edges. It opens and expands. Isn't this interesting. In order to grow, we move
beyond our edges. It doesn't always feel comfortable to move beyond our edges. I believe that sometimes when we are feeling the most uncomfortable is when we are doing our spiritual work. Instead of dumping on ourselves, lets celebrate our growing and congratulate ourselves for our courage to move beyond our comfort zone.
When a circle grows it becomes more, and by becoming more it accepts more. What was outside of its
self is now inside of itself. It can hold more within itself. This parallels the Course In Miracles teaching. Instead of closing your circle, creating separation, and putting someone outside of your circle, try opening up and bringing them into your circle.
Another View Of The Soul's Journey is the Infinity Symbol.
The Inner Journey Reflects the Outer Journey & The Outer Journey Reflects the Inner Journey
It is balanced…as you go deeper inside, you go further outside. Another way of saying this is our consciousness at all levels of ourselves is reflected or mirrored by outside of ourselves. If you want to know what you are holding in your consciousness at all levels of yourself, just look at what you are experiencing in you life on the outer level of yourself. Whoever is in your life & whatever you are experiencing reflects yourself and what you are holding inside your own consciousness at deeper levels of yourself.
And if you want to change your outer life, making a change in the outer is not enough. A corresponding change needs to be made in consciousness as well or the outer change will not stick.
So we have come back to "Consciousness is prime".
I believe on of things that can most assist us on the spiritual journey is to practice being authentic!
And shift perception to see the blessings. First we accept that we are authentically "Godlike" in our essence. Then we practice being as authentic as we know how. The more authentic we can be, the more we reflect our Godlike essence, and the more that essence (consciousness), can enter our reality to assist us to shift it and help us see where we are inauthentic. And we naturally we move to deeper levels of authentic expression. We begin to become the witness; begin to watch ourselves, our thoughts, our words, our actions. And we use our Gift Of Free Will to choose more authentic expression. We can't help but become more grateful, and our consciousness of gratitude creates more to be grateful for. We become active participants in shifting our reality. And our circle expands.
And because we are One mind. One consciousness, the more we shift to our authentic awareness, the more we help others do the same. We collectively change the world and make it a better place.
