I have been told that new born babies don't see; At least maybe not in a perfect Three D physical sense. However, I remember the first time I looked into my daughter, Shawna's eyes, and how she looked back at me. It was just after her birth, when the nurse brought her to me, all swaddled in a blanket. She was still unwashed and barely here as part of this world. And yet, this new born who apparently couldn't see, when she looked at me, saw me and more of me than anyone else has ever seen of me in this lifetime. It was a remarkable experience!

We looked into each others' eyes, connected and immediately went off somewhere, together… for an eternity. A timeless moment, that lasted all of a couple of seconds. In that moment, we recognised each other. It didn't really register in my conscious mind exactly how or what we recognised, yet I knew it. Perhaps we are very old friends; souls who had journeyed together many times. Paradoxically, I knew something at one level of myself, and at another level of myself I didn't know it,. Have you ever had that kind of experience?

Thirty years later, my daughter about to be a mother, came to me for help when she was with child. Erin, my granddaughter yet to be born wasn't in a hurry to get here, and Shawna wondered if hypnotherapy would assist the process. So we did a session where we talked with the baby in the womb, reassuring her and coaxing her to join us and be here in the physical world. As well, I made appropriate suggestions to assist my daughter in preparation for the coming birthing process. Shortly after this session, Erin arrived very quickly and Shawna's labour was almost effortless.

Erin is a very gentle, timid child, but definitely has a mind of her own and knows what she wants. I feel like I've met her before, which is true because I connected with her while she was still in the womb, and felt her energy at a deeper level of myself. Erin has a sweetness of energy that is almost ethereal. It is hard for me to pin it down, like a word that is on the tip of your tongue but you just can't remember it. I wonder if this knowing of her energy comes from that connection I made with her, before she was fully physical here on earth.

I am so grateful for the experience my hypnotherapy practice has brought me, especially as it pertains to those times I have connected with the consciousness of the Ones-To-Come. This is usually during the womb time, but sometimes it is in other places. When I connect with this consciousness, it is so wide open and pure, and it really is a blessing to be with it, communicate and relate to it. And it is a part of everyone of us, more who we really are, than our body/mind/personality, on which most of our current consciousness is focused.

My practice has shown me that the womb time is very important in shaping the consciousness of the being about to be birthed. The One-To-Come is wide-open and can be overwhelmed by what it is receiving. What it perceives and accepts in the womb becomes a part of its essence and its identity, but not always in conscious awareness. This is the true power of the female gender. The consciousness of the being coming into form is being conditioned in the womb, by the mother's consciousness. It's not only the consciousness of the mother, of course. There is the environment around her, the place, people, partner, the quality of the emotional energy and more. But the mother and her consciousness have an immense impact.

Consider this. Perhaps, Mother Mary was a major influence why Jesus could be who He is, as He travelled through her consciousness on His way to get here. Perhaps, the Immaculate Conception and Virgin Birth, was more about the state of consciousness carried by Mary than it was about her physical condition. Something to ponder and think about.

I believe that the consciousness of this planet could change very quickly if parents, and especially mothers, understood that their consciousness is shaping the consciousness of the One-To-Come. Our society should nurture pregnant women with time to be contemplative, to connect more deeply with their own spirit and the spirit of the One-To-Come. Both parents should be more aware that the baby, that is forming is aware and is influenced by their thoughts, words and the environment it finds itself in.

We can communicate with the awareness of the One-To-Come, before "it" comes into form before birth. So parents should share with the One-To-Come, the beauty they see in the world, their wisdom, and their love. They could support the One-to-Come while it's in the womb, by avoiding loud noisy places, scary movies, emotional upsets and arguments.

As well, there are other specific practices that parents can do to assist the One-To-Come, to remember more of its "original" state while here in physical form. If more of this "original" awareness was brought into the world, the world would change and it would be a better place. I can't think of anything that is more important than this, in making the world a better place. Can you?
